2. Services Provided
Bake Your Bag specializes in the repair and restoration of luxury handbags. Our services include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning and protection: cleaning and stain removal from various materials.
Restoration of signs of wear: restoration of scuffed corners, discolouration, scratched leather, split piping, and more.
Colour change and customisation: bespoke colour changes to suit your evolving style.
Hardware and zip repairs: repair or replacement of broken zips and tarnished hardware.
Handle, lining, and restructuring: stitch solutions, crafting new handles, linings, and restructuring bag shapes.
Louis Vuitton vachetta replacement: crafting replacement pieces of vachetta leather to match the original.
3. Process Overview
Initial Inquiry: Clients can submit an inquiry along with photos of their item via email, WhatsApp, or Telegram. Bake Your Bag will provide a preliminary estimate based on this information.
Item Shipment: Clients are responsible for securely shipping their items to Bake Your Bag’s address or bringing it to our workshop. We recommend using a reliable courier with tracking and insurance.
Examination and final estimate: upon receiving the item, Bake Your Bag will conduct a thorough examination. The final price and estimated completion time will be communicated to the client via their preferred communication method (email, WhatsApp, or Telegram).
Approval and Prepayment: clients must approve the final estimate. Upon approval, Bake Your Bag will issue an invoice for a 50% prepayment of the total cost.
Service Commencement: work will begin once the prepayment is received. Clients will be kept informed throughout the process, with detailed photos of the completed work provided before the final payment is requested.
4. Payment Terms
Upfront Payment: A 50% prepayment is required before any work begins. Accepted payment methods include:
- Bank Transfer
- Bizum
- Stripe (with commission)
- PayPal
- Cash (in the studio)
- Credit Card (in the studio)
Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the work, before the item is shipped back to the client.
Additional Costs: Any additional costs arising during the repair process will be communicated to the client for approval before proceeding.
5. Non-Guarantee Clause
Bake Your Bag strives to restore items to the best possible condition, but cannot guarantee that items will be restored to a "like new" condition. Clients acknowledge that:
Cleaning: certain flaws, adhesives, or manufacturing defects may become more apparent after cleaning. Bake Your Bag is not responsible for these pre-existing issues.
Look & Feel: the texture, shine, or color of the item may change after treatment. These changes are part of the restoration process, and Bake Your Bag accepts no liability for such outcomes.
6. Liability
Damage during Service: while Bake Your Bag takes every precaution to ensure the safety and security of your items, in the unlikely event that an item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair while in our care, our maximum liability is limited to returning the 50% upfront payment made by the client. By using our services, clients acknowledge and accept this limitation.
Shipping: clients are responsible for the cost and risk of shipping items to Bake Your Bag. Bake Your Bag will cover the cost of return shipping and use DHL services with tracking and insurance for this purpose.
Irreversible Techniques: Certain materials or techniques may not be reversible. Clients will be informed of these risks during the service evaluation stage.
7. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation: Clients may cancel their service after making the initial payment but before work begins. In such cases, Bake Your Bag will refund 75% of the upfront payment.
Refunds: Refunds are not offered if the client is dissatisfied with the final result, as all services are provided with the understanding that results may vary.
8. Timeframes and Delays
Estimated Timeframes: Expected timeframes for service completion will be communicated to clients at the time of estimate approval.
Delays: Any delays due to sourcing materials or unexpected complications will be promptly communicated to the client.
9. Confidentiality and Privacy
Bake Your Bag is committed to protecting your privacy. All personal information and details about your item will be handled confidentially in accordance with GDPR regulations.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
